2. be apt后接动词不定式往往含有消极的意味,如果主语是该不定式行为的对象,则该不定式要用被动结构。

2. apt，liable和likely三个词意思相近，但用法上有出入：三个单词后都可接不定式，指“易于……”或“有……的倾向”。在英国，apt只适用于一般情形，不适用于特殊情形。用于一般情形时，apt常用在不好的或没趣的事，如apt to catch cold,apt to get into trouble等。liable 也用在不好的或没趣的事，但与apt不同的是它后面的不定式常指害及那句子的主语。liable同时适用于一般情形和特殊情形。likely同时适用于一般情形和特殊情形，且适用于不好的和好的事。同apt和liable相比，likely表达的可能性更大。
